The Eastman SB59/v is the last time Eastman will be using hand rubbed varnish finish on their guitars. The process has become too labour intensive to keep the cost down so they have moved to a nitrocellulose finish. The varnish gives a better feel and allows for the instrument to breathe better for more sustain. Plays like a dream and sounds even better!
