1952 Southern Jumbo w/case Consignment
$5,999.00
-
This was brought in on consignment by the daughter of the owner.
It was well loved and well played. It is definitely in the “players grade” category.
Main things to note,
Some over spray on the top, behind the bridge and bass side of the neck.
On the top by the bass side of the fretboard there is some sort of filler that was likely added a long time ago.
The bridge has been reglued at one point, a touch ahead of the original footprint. And lacquer has been added to the bridge.
The first and second fret have been sanded down to try to remove the divots from play wear on the actual rosewood. This is shown in the photos.
The fretboard itself has had some work done to it and lacquer added overtop.
Structurally the guitar is in decent shape. There are some repaired cracks on the back, there is a pickguard crack, the bridge plate is in good shape. The neck angle is good. Braces inside are fine as well.
The guitar is not tuned up at this time due to the request of the consignor due to the original tuning machines which are still intact.
This guitar is not on display due to the consignor request. It is available by appointment.
